In today’s edition of the evening round-up, we take a look at the latest gaming and eSports news including a report from the eSports media company, Esports Insider, who have reported that PUBG Mobile has been banned in India by the government in a cull involving over 100 other mobile applications.
The Indian government has found a number of apps to be “prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, Defence of India, Security of State and Public Order,” including one of the most popular esports in India, PUBG Mobile.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology stated that they had “received many complaints from various sources, including several reports of misuse of some mobile apps.” Allegedly, the apps were “stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an “unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India.” Please, click here to read more.
Don’t Expect ‘New’ Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show
As already announced, Microsoft Japan will be hosting a 50-minute Xbox Showcase at the Tokyo Game Show later this month on 24th September. The broadcast will be in Japanese only.

Twitch bans employee Hassan following sexual misconduct allegations
Twitch has taken action against its director of strategic partnerships, Hassan Bokhari, by banning his account following allegations of sexual misconduct.
Earlier in the year, multiple streamers claimed Hassan had used his power within the organization to get close to smaller streamers. In the case of Twitch streamer Vio, Hassan allegedly used his position to manipulate her into performing sexual acts with him. Please, click here to read more.
Astro Confirms All Of Its Gaming Headsets Are Xbox Series X Compatible
You might remember that back in March, Astro confirmed that its gaming products designed for Xbox One would continue to offer continuous compatibility on Xbox Series X, even despite its lack of an optical audio port. And now, the company has provided more details about exactly how they will work on the system.
Astro says that its entire line of gaming headsets will function on Xbox Series X, but some may require a firmware update which will be available via the Astro Command Center software on the console’s launch day.
