With E3 cancelled many publishers and developers are moving to digital showcase with Ubisoft’s digital event announced for July 12. The company announced this in a save the date tweet on May 11, although it did not offer specific details on the event; only saying it would offer an E3 style showcase.

Ubisoft’s E3 press conferences, in recent years, has become one of the highlights of the show, with surprise franchises ranging from Watch Dogs to the long-awaited sequel for Beyond Good and Evil. Ubisoft’s digital event, Ubisoft Forward is very much anticipated for considering all the big names fans are expecting to be revealed.
Fans are eagerly waiting for big blocks of revelations on Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods and Monsters, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division 2, Rainbow Six and maybe Good and Evil 2. With Sony and Microsoft launching their consoles somewhere in the fall fans are wondering if digital events will be the trend this year.
