One of the world’s biggest first-person shooter games on PC, Crossfire X is reported heading to the Xbox platform as a timed-exclusive for Microsoft’s console and it appears there will be a beta ahead of launch according to reports sighted on Gamespot.
Reports sighted on WindowsCentral suggest that a listing for a Crossfire X beta has appeared on the Microsoft Store. Their reports state that the beta will begin on June 25 per seen product page. The reports further reveal that Crossfire X runs at 4K, and it is enhanced for Xbox One X with a file size of 5.88GB.
Crossfire X is a free-to-play online multiplayer game that supports up 16 players. The game will offer a “variety of classic and innovative” modes, but it’s not immediately clear which ones are in the beta.
During E3 2019 Crossfire X was announced as a “first to console” release on Xbox, which suggests it may release on other console platforms later on. Crossfire for PC, which is distributed by Tencent, is one of the most popular games on the planet with some 650 million users globally. For comparison, Fortnite had 350 million players worldwide by the latest count.
